Description
This drink is named for the old quarter in New Orleans. It’s similar to a classic Old Fashioned with a bit more complexity and deep, subtle sweetness. Enjoy.

- ¾ oz. Rye Whiskey (Rittenhouse)
- ¾ oz. Cognac (Ussé)
- ¾ oz. Sweet Vermouth (Nouilly Pratt)
- ¼ oz. Bénédictine liqueur
- 1 - 2 dashes Peychaud’s Bitter’s
- 1 - 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Ice cubes
- Lemon twist for garnish
Instructions
- In a glass, combine whiskey, cognac, sweet vermouth, benedictine, and both bitters.
- Add ice and stir for 20 seconds until chilled.
- Fill a lowball glass with ice.
- Add stirred cocktail and garnish with lemon twist.
